Tufting workshop to create your own contemporary rug (50cm x 50cm frame).

We’ll guide you through the basics of using our rug tufting gun, so you can start tufting with confidence even if it’s your first time. Within minutes, you’ll be creating rows of colourful yarn and watching fluffy tufts appear on the other side. Bit by bit, your design will come to life as you handmake your very own customised rug in our tufting workshop.

What you'll learn in our tufting workshop:

• Introduction to the rug tufting cut pile machine to pick up the ABCs of using the tufting gun, including: How to manoeuvre the gun, insert the yarn, and some basic tufting safety rules.

Steps to make your very own rug:

• Trace your design/drawing onto the 50x50cm primary fabric using a projector
• Free selection of cotton yarn colours
• Make your rug and see your design come to life
• Glue it and let it dry before cutting it out and attach the backing fabric to it. 
• Trimming your design to make it neater.

Workshop is about 2hrs. If you are unable to finished tufting in time, you can extend it by an hour at $15 subject to availability. Same day collection is available subjected to studio availability.

If you want to share and make just 1 rug with a friend, simply just book 1 slot, we allow maximum 2 persons to share and make 1 rug together at no additional cost.
